Party alert!
"Sex and the City" (okay, not really), my publisher, in conjunction with Vogue magazine, is throwing an NYC launch party for IN HER SHOES....and you're invited!
Kenneth Cole store in SoHo (597 Broadway, near Houston), on Wednesday, October 2nd. It starts at 6 p.m., and there will be mingling and food (including, I think, little shoe-topped cupcakes!), and then I'll do a little reading at 6:45 or so and sign books. There will also be some kind of promotion going on (buy X dollars' worth of shoes, get the book free). The party is open to the public. And my Nanna will be in the house!
"Hairspray," you definitely should. Adam and I saw it last night, and it was really, really great. Funny and uplifting, with its heart totally in the right place. And Harvey Fierstein is hysterical.
